Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha – Serengeti National Park
Arrive in Arusha, where you’ll be greeted by your private guide and transferred to your luxurious safari vehicle. The drive to Serengeti National Park (approximately 4-5 hours) offers scenic views of the African countryside as you head to one of the most iconic wildlife destinations in the world. Upon arrival, check into your exclusive lodge or luxury tented camp in the Serengeti. After a gourmet lunch, enjoy your first private game drive across the Serengeti’s vast plains, home to the Big Five and other amazing wildlife. In the evening, relax and enjoy a sundowner before dinner at your luxurious accommodation.
Day 2: Serengeti National Park
Start the day with an early morning game drive, as the Serengeti comes alive with wildlife. Your guide will help you track predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs, along with large herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles. After a luxury picnic lunch in the park, spend the afternoon exploring other areas of Serengeti. Serengeti is famous for the Great Migration, so depending on the season, you may witness the incredible movement of millions of wildebeest and zebras. Return to your lodge for dinner and a restful night.
Day 3: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater
After a final morning game drive in Serengeti, you’ll travel to Ngorongoro Crater (approximately 3 hours). Ngorongoro is one of the most unique wildlife areas in the world, and you’ll be staying at the Ngorongoro Crater Lodge, perched on the crater’s rim with breathtaking views. After lunch, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for an afternoon private game drive. The crater is home to a wealth of wildlife, including rhinos, lions, elephants, and numerous bird species. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay with incredible views of the crater below.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater – Lake Manyara National Park
Enjoy a morning game drive inside the Ngorongoro Crater, where you may encounter animals you missed the day before. Afterward, head to Lake Manyara National Park (approximately 2 hours), known for its tree-climbing lions and vibrant birdlife, including flamingos and pelicans. Check into your luxury lodge, offering stunning views of the park and lake. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive in the park, where you can witness diverse wildlife in varied landscapes, from lush forests to open plains. Return to your lodge for dinner and a relaxing evening.
Day 5: Lake Manyara – Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, head to Tarangire National Park (about 2 hours), known for its large elephant herds and striking baobab trees. Upon arrival, enjoy a luxury game drive as you explore the park’s vast landscapes. Tarangire is also home to giraffes, zebras, and a rich variety of bird species. After a luxury lunch, embark on an afternoon game drive, capturing the park’s stunning scenery and wildlife. In the evening, check into your lodge for dinner and enjoy a tranquil night under the African sky.
Day 6: Tarangire – Kilimanjaro Day Tour
On this day, leave the wildlife behind and enjoy a cultural tour of Mount Kilimanjaro. After breakfast, drive to the base of Mount Kilimanjaro (about 2-3 hours), where you’ll embark on a scenic hike through the lush rainforests on the lower slopes of the mountain. Along the way, you’ll have the chance to visit a Chagga village, where you can learn about the culture and agricultural practices of the people who live on the mountain. Enjoy a luxury lunch in the region before returning to Arusha in the afternoon. You’ll spend the evening in a luxurious lodge, where you can relax and enjoy a final dinner in Tanzania.
Day 7: Arusha – Cultural Exploration and Free Time
After breakfast, enjoy a relaxing day in Arusha, where you can explore the town or engage in cultural activities. Depending on your interests, you can visit local markets, explore museums, or visit cultural centers to learn more about Tanzania’s rich history and heritage. If you wish, you can also enjoy a coffee tour around the famous coffee plantations in the region. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure, shopping for souvenirs or enjoying the comfort of your lodge. Dinner will be served at your lodge, where you can reflect on your Tanzanian adventure.
Day 8: Departure from Arusha
On your final day, enjoy a leisurely breakfast before being transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some time to explore the town of Arusha or visit any remaining attractions before heading to the airport. With fond memories of your luxury safari, you’ll depart Tanzania, knowing you’ve experienced the best of its natural beauty and cultural heritage.
