5 DAYS ITINERARY

Day-By-Day

DAY 1
Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport – Tarangire National Park Game Drive

Your Tanzanian adventure begins with a warm welcome at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO).

Your Nano Africa Safaris representative and professional safari guide will meet your group, assist with your luggage, and give you a short safari briefing before beginning the journey toward Tarangire National Park.

As you leave the airport, the adventure begins with a scenic drive through the Tanzanian countryside. You will pass local villages, farmland, and beautiful landscapes as you make your way toward one of northern Tanzania's most distinctive national parks.

Upon entering Tarangire, your first game drive begins.

Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, open savannahs, and seasonal wetlands. Your group may encounter elephants moving through the woodland, giraffes feeding from acacia trees, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, impalas, warthogs, and numerous bird species.

With six friends travelling together, every wildlife sighting becomes part of the group's shared story — whether it is your first elephant crossing the road, a giraffe standing against the horizon, or a herd of zebras moving across the plains.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing with your afternoon game drive.

As the afternoon progresses, your guide will continue exploring areas where wildlife activity is promising. With luck, you may also encounter predators such as lions, cheetahs, or leopards.

After the game drive, proceed to your accommodation for dinner and a relaxing evening together.

DAY 2
Tarangire – Transfer to Serengeti National Park with Game Drive

After breakfast, your group will leave Tarangire and continue toward the legendary Serengeti National Park.

The journey itself becomes part of the adventure as the scenery changes from Tarangire's woodland and baobabs to the vast open plains of the Serengeti.

Along the way, your guide can introduce your group to Tanzania's wildlife, landscapes, local communities, and conservation story, making the journey both enjoyable and informative.

As you enter the Serengeti, the landscape opens dramatically. The endless plains, scattered acacia trees, rocky kopjes, and distant wildlife create the classic African scenery that travellers dream about.

Your safari continues with a game drive en route to your accommodation. Depending on the season and wildlife movements, you may encounter elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, gazelles, hyenas, and many other species.

The Serengeti is also famous for its predators. Your guide will be watching carefully for lions, cheetahs, and hyenas, while leopards may sometimes be spotted resting in trees or moving through the grasslands.

After your game drive, arrive at your accommodation and settle in.

Enjoy dinner together and spend the evening relaxing, sharing photographs, stories, and highlights from your first days in Tanzania.

DAY 3
Full-Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park

Today is one of the major highlights of your friends' safari — a full day of wildlife exploration in the Serengeti.

After breakfast, set out with your professional safari guide for a full-day game drive. Having the entire day in the Serengeti allows your group to explore different areas and spend more time observing wildlife without feeling rushed.

The Serengeti is home to an extraordinary diversity of wildlife. Depending on the season and location, your group may see large herds of wildebeest and zebra, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, gazelles, warthogs, and many species of birds.

The park is particularly exciting because of its predator population. Your guide will look for signs of lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and, with luck, the elusive leopard.

For a group of friends, this is the perfect day to enjoy the safari at a relaxed pace — stopping for photographs, watching animal behavior, sharing the excitement of sightings, and simply enjoying the incredible scenery around you.

A picnic lunch in the Serengeti gives your group the chance to pause in the wilderness before continuing the afternoon game drive.

As the afternoon light becomes softer, continue exploring the plains before returning to your accommodation.

Enjoy dinner and a relaxed evening together, perhaps sharing your favourite photographs and moments from the day.

Optional activities such as a hot-air balloon safari can be arranged at an additional cost, subject to availability.

DAY 4
Serengeti – Game Drive En Route to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, your group begins the journey from the Serengeti toward the spectacular Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

The transfer is combined with wildlife viewing, giving you another opportunity to enjoy the Serengeti before leaving the park.

As you travel, the landscape gradually changes from the vast Serengeti plains to the dramatic highlands surrounding Ngorongoro.

Your next major experience is the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater — a vast volcanic caldera and one of Tanzania's most remarkable wildlife destinations.

Descend into the crater for a game drive across its grasslands, wetlands, and woodland areas. The crater supports a remarkable concentration of wildlife, creating excellent opportunities for your group to encounter a wide variety of species within a relatively compact area.

You may see lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, gazelles, hyenas, and other wildlife. With luck, you may also encounter the endangered black rhinoceros.

Your experienced guide will help your group understand the behavior of the animals and the unique ecosystem inside the crater.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater, surrounded by spectacular scenery and wildlife.

Continue your game drive before ascending the crater walls and proceeding to your accommodation in the Ngorongoro/Karatu area.

After dinner, relax together and enjoy your final evening in Tanzania's northern safari circuit.

DAY 5
Lake Manyara National Park – Game Drive – Departure & Farewell

After breakfast, your group will head toward Lake Manyara National Park for the final wildlife experience of your safari.

Lake Manyara offers a completely different environment from the Serengeti and Ngorongoro. The park features lush groundwater forests, open grasslands, acacia woodland, wetlands, and the beautiful Lake Manyara.

During your game drive, your group may encounter elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeest, baboons, monkeys, hippos, and a wide variety of birdlife.

Lake Manyara is also known for its famous tree-climbing lions. Sightings are not guaranteed, but with luck, your group may have the opportunity to see lions resting high in the branches of large trees.

Your guide will make the most of your available time in the park, giving you opportunities for final wildlife sightings, photographs, and one last taste of the Tanzanian wilderness.

After the game drive, enjoy lunch before beginning your transfer toward Kilimanjaro International Airport or your onward destination, depending on your travel arrangements.

As your 5-day adventure comes to an end, say farewell to your guide and Tanzania with memories of incredible wildlife encounters, beautiful landscapes, laughter, photographs, and experiences shared with your closest friends.
