Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Arrive in Arusha and meet your guide for a transfer to Tarangire National Park. The park is famous for its large elephant herds, as well as its unique vegetation, including the towering baobab trees. Spend the afternoon on a game drive, keeping an eye out for the park’s famous elephants, along with lions, giraffes, and various bird species. After the day’s adventure, you will stay at a midrange lodge within the park or nearby.
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater Exploration
After breakfast, head to the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Tanzania’s most iconic wildlife destinations. Known for its stunning scenery and high concentration of animals, the crater is home to a variety of species, including the endangered black rhino. A full-day game drive will give you ample time to explore this wildlife haven, with opportunities to spot lions, elephants, zebras, and wildebeests. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater, before continuing your safari in the afternoon. Afterward, you’ll return to your lodge for a restful night.
Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park
On your final day, journey to Lake Manyara National Park, known for its diverse ecosystems and incredible birdwatching opportunities. The park is home to flamingos, pelicans, and a variety of raptors. While there, you might spot the park’s famous tree-climbing lions. A game drive will take you through the park’s different habitats, including forests, wetlands, and the lake shores. After lunch, return to Arusha in the late afternoon for your departure or onward journey.
