Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Zanzibar – Stone Town Sunset Welcome
Upon arrival at Zanzibar International Airport, you’ll be welcomed by your driver and transferred to your hotel in Stone Town. After check-in, take time to freshen up and explore the historic streets or relax on a rooftop terrace overlooking the ocean. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner at one of Stone Town’s signature rooftop restaurants, where you can watch the sunset melt into the Indian Ocean.
Day 2: Spice Farm, Jozani Forest & Prison Island Excursion
Fuel up with breakfast before heading out for a spice tour, where you’ll walk through lush tropical farms, touch and taste everything from cloves and nutmeg to cinnamon and vanilla. Learn how spices shaped Zanzibar’s history and export culture. Afterward, drive to Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park, home of the endangered red colobus monkey. Walk through the jungle and the mangrove boardwalks, observing rare flora and fauna. In the afternoon, hop on a traditional boat to Prison Island. There, visit the historic prison ruins and see the famous giant Aldabra tortoises, some over 150 years old. Wrap up with optional snorkeling in the clear waters before returning to Stone Town.
Day 3: Mnemba Atoll Snorkeling & Transfer to Nungwi Beach
After breakfast, you’ll transfer to Nungwi on the north coast and immediately embark on a full-day snorkeling trip to Mnemba Atoll, one of Zanzibar’s most beautiful marine reserves. Swim with vibrant fish, possibly spot dolphins, and relax on a sandbank with a fresh seafood lunch served onboard or on the beach. After the excursion, return to your beachfront hotel in Nungwi for check-in and a relaxed evening by the sea.
Day 4: Free Day at Nungwi – Optional Water Sports or Spa
Enjoy a full day at leisure in Nungwi, known for its white sand and calm turquoise waters. Relax by the ocean, read a book, or explore nearby shops and cafés. Optional activities include scuba diving, kite surfing, paddleboarding, beach horseback riding, or indulging in a spa treatment with ocean views. In the evening, catch the sunset while dining at a beachfront restaurant.
Day 5: Morning Swim & Departure
Savor one last tropical breakfast and take a final swim or beach walk before check-out. Your driver will transfer you back to the airport for your onward flight, concluding your Spice & Sea adventure in paradise.
